Paid career in cooking

PART du Chef is a socio-professional integration company which offers its workers in training the opportunity to experience different jobs related to cooking. Combined with the experience acquired on different work platforms, the training provided is a real springboard towards employment for people struggling with mental health or psychosocial problems.

The program is carried out in collaboration with Emploi-Québec and regularly admits new workers. This is an internship paid at minimum wage.

Training and services

- Paid training of 1,050 hours (30 weeks), including 105 full-time internships
- Practical and theoretical courses
- Psychosocial monitoring
- Personal and social development workshops
- One-off assessments of work skills
- Job search assistance
- Follow-up in internship and employment
- Support for employment integration

Job Opportunities
The PART du Chef training leads to different jobs related to cooking and catering in environments such as cafeterias, restaurants, cafes, snack bars and catering services.

Admission Criteria
- Be struggling with a mental health or psychosocial problem without severe employment constraints.
- Be available 35 hours a week from Monday to Friday.
- Be motivated to enter or re-enter the job market.
